DESCRIPTION OF CLINICAL PRACTICE
Daniel skillfully integrates cutting-edge psychological techniques with ancient wisdom traditions. All true healing takes place in the present moment when we are able to let go of old patterns and attachments to outcomes. Daniel will help you to connect to your innate potential to be liberated in this body, in this mind, in this heart, and in this present moment. Daniel successfully leads clients from anxiety, depression, and trauma, to insight, inspiration, and fulfillment. Daniel offers individual psychotherapy for adults and children, as well as couples counseling and group therapy.

VIPASSANA/MEDITATION BACKGROUND
At 19 I began my meditation path living at Plum Village, Thich Nhat Hahn's monastery in France. Since then I have been a dedicated practitioner of contemplative and mystical practices from many religions I have done month long retreats and sit week longs regularly at Spirit Rock and other retreat centers. I am currently a Core Faculty Meditation Teacher at The Omega Institute, and speak regularly at other meditation centers. I am the founding director of "Mindful Children", and organization that offers mindfulness trainings for schools and other organizations.

RELEVANT CLINICAL TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
I have a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies and a BA from St Johns College, where I wrote a thesis on Carl Jung. I have finished a year long Gestalt Therapy training at the Integral Counseling Center. I have a great interest in Eco-Psychology, have done many wilderness trainings, studied with shamans in the Amazon. I have extensive training in somatic psychology and movement based practices. I have also completed the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction training.
