DESCRIPTION OF CLINICAL PRACTICE
I have been in full time private practice for over twenty years, working primarily with individual adults and couples. I attempt to integrate and utilize the wisdom of both Eastern and Western psychology to assist clients in achieving their goals.

Areas of specialization include treatment of anxiety, depression, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and coping with grief, loss and life transitions. I also work with individuals and couples who are recovering from substance abuse problems and compulsive behaviors.

When seeing couples, I work with issues of communication, intimacy and sexuality, conflict management and co-parenting. My intent is to facilitate a process in which couples can rebuild or strengthen their friendship, honor one another's life dreams and define and work toward shared goals.

VIPASSANA/MEDITATION BACKGROUND
For over twenty five years, mindfulness practice has been an essential part of my life. I have been on over twenty 8-10 day meditation retreats with a variety of Vipassana instructors including Jack Kornfield, James Baraz, Gil Fronsdal, John Travis, and Stephen Levine.
