Linda G. My work is relational and depth oriented, informed by many other traditions of therapy, healing and personal growth. Along with being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am a Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, with a background in the performing arts, writing and visual art. In addition to verbal psychotherapy, I utilize movement, sand play, visual art and dream work. I work well with clients struggling with self-esteem, relationships, taking up space, boundary setting, creative blocks, sexual identity, spiritual questions, loss, and breaking addictive patterns. Group work is an important component of my practice. Groups provide a safe container to work out one's interpersonal and intimacy issues. I currently run two psychotherapy groups. My understanding of the inter-relationship of the body, psyche and spirit is a special focus of my work. I believe therapy is co-created, and that both parties contain the wounded and the healer. VIPASSANA/MEDITATION BACKGROUND I have a daily sitting practice for over 30years. I've been involved with Spirit Rock since 2000 with day-long workshops, classes, residential retreats and a weekly sitting group. In addition to sitting meditation, I have an authentic movement practice.
