DESCRIPTION OF CLINICAL PRACTICE
For the past 16 years, I have been working with adults, both individuals and couples as well as groups on the following concerns:

Spiritual issues, life transitions, personal transformation, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, chronic pain, issues of self/other, and core beliefs.

Using either brief or longer term psychotherapy, I offer EMDR, Gendlin Focusing and Somatic Experiencing for trauma resolution, cognitive-behavioral therapy for anxiety and depression, guided visualization, dream work, flower essences and psychological kinesiology, for core beliefs. I also support life style changes, including nutrition, meditation and stress reduction as key to life transformations.

VIPASSANA/MEDITATION BACKGROUND
I have been practicing meditation daily for over30years. In 1992, I sat my first longer retreat (16 day) with U Pandita at IMS, and have done two other retreats more recently with Jack Kornfield. In addition, I have studied the non-dual wisdom tradition for the past 15 years with Mata Amritanandamayi, Hart de Fouw (Vedic Astrology), and Carole Whitfield.

RELEVANT CLINICAL TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
I have a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and completed a six year course in the intuitive/energetic arts 25 years ago in New York City. I have worked in a number of settings, including hospitals, private clinics and community clinics, and currently have private practices in both San Francisco and Marin. For eight years I taught psychology courses at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, and also taught for two years at Sonoma State University as well as CIIS. I have also been a supervisor for Haight Ashbury Psychological Services for the past 6 years. Currently I am serving as Co-President for the Institute for Spirituality and Psychology, associated with Spirit Rock, which is working in various ways to integrate the fields of psychology and spirituality. I have presented on differential diagnosis re: spiritual emergence in various settings, including at Sprit Rock.
