DESCRIPTION OF CLINICAL PRACTICE
I have a small general practice working with adults using mindfulness and awareness practice as foundations for our work. I had a traditional education, but have become more spiritually oriented and transpersonal over the years. I combine my psychotherapy training and perspective with a meditative mindfulnes. Developmental psychology is also part of how I view working with people. I also work with couples and can perform weddings. I have worked in private practice since 1980 and was a psychiatric nurse before that.

VIPASSANA/MEDITATION BACKGROUND
I have been practicing Buddhist meditation since 1986. I began with Zen and then added Vipassana in 1990. Gil Fronsdal has been my teacher since then. I have done numerous retreats; am a graduate of the CDL2 program and of the Sati Center Chaplaincy Program. I lead the sitting group in San Jose and a small group in Morgan Hill. I was ordained a lay Buddhist minister by Gil in Jan. of 2010.
