For over thirty years, with my clients - older adolescents, individual adults and couples - we co-create a safe space to notice, explore and facilitate an experience of inner connection. I work with the often disparate parts of one's self, paying attention to the many possible causes of suffering- addiction, past and present trauma, relationship conflict and loss - simply being human in this world. And while these often contribute to pervasive pain and discomfort, we move towards them as springboards for deep healing. With a warm and interactive style, I make space to hold past and present experience, with gentle spacious awareness and kindness.

I have attended many Vipassana retreats and daylongs since 2011. My personal practice includes daily sitting, active participation in my sangha as a member of the Diversity Committee, and several retreats, daylongs and classes every year.

I received my MSW from the University of Michigan in 1981 and have had a private practice since 1985. I am a Monterey Bay Psychological Association member. I have been influenced by my study of systems theory, contemporary psychoanalysis, mindfulness based psychotherapy and, within the last 7 years, Internal Family Systems - I have taken the Level I, II, and III, as well as the IFIO intensive training.
