DESCRIPTION OF CLINICAL PRACTICE
I bring over forty years of experience to my work as a therapist with individuals, couples, and groups. I am deeply interested in the integration of spiritual practice with psychotherapy. Originally trained as an art therapist and body therapist, I respect the wisdom of the body and the creative intelligence that guides each of us toward health and wholeness. The therapy relationship that the client and I co-create over time is the ground of our work, where there is sufficient trust and safety to explore the ways that the past colors and shapes the present. I use both Somatic Experiencing and EMDR as valuable tools for working with trauma, as well as a range of other issues. I currently offer groups for midlife women in transition and for women exploring the issues of aging, using art, writing, meditation, and body awareness as well as group sharing in a supportive environment.
