DESCRIPTION OF CLINICAL PRACTICE
I am direct, genuine and collaborative, and bring a natural curiosity and empathy to my work with clients. I use a relational depth-oriented therapeutic approach with a focus on present moment bodily and emotional experience. By bringing what was once unconscious into conscious awareness, we will observe your changing internal landscape together and support you to communicate your feelings and needs authentically in relationship. We will understand the meaning behind repetitive and stuck patterns that no longer serve you, allowing you more freedom to make choices that contribute to your life in the areas of identity, relationship, family and work.

I work with children, adolescents, adults and couples and specialize in the following areas: heightened sensitivity, difficulties with trust, anxiety, depression, interpersonal trauma, relationship problems and with those who want to experience more meaning, intimacy and authenticity in their lives.

VIPASSANA/MEDITATION BACKGROUND
I have been practicing yoga since 1997 before discovering Vipassana meditation in 2000. I have participated in many long retreats in both Vipassana and nondual traditions. I was a resident staff at Insight Meditation Society in Barre, MA in 2004 and 2005. I sit at least two retreats each year and strive to integrate these experiences into my daily life and my therapy practice.

RELEVANT CLINICAL TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
I bring a wide breadth of training and experience in psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, relational and somatic psychotherapy, trauma recovery, nonviolent communication, yoga and mindfulness meditation. I am a graduate of the Somatic Psychotherapy Masters Program at the California Institute of Integral Studies and the Women's Therapy Center's two-year clinical training program. I am currently participating in Ann Martin Center’s two-year Advanced Clinical Internship Program where I work with children and adolescents using play therapy from psychoanalytic and psychodynamic approaches.
