In my practice as a psychologist I enjoy working with a diversity of people and issues. My clients include middle-schoolers through elderly, couples and families, an ongoing weekly Men's Group, and as part of the Central Coast Critical Incident Team, organizations and community members facing acute crisis/traumatic incidents. Whether a youth or adult may benefit primarily from learning strategic tools or from gaining insight about what brought them to me, mindfulness practice informs my work every day. Issues of life- threatening illness and death, family issues and divorce, questions of sexual identity, health, relationships, career, anxiety, depression, spirituality; through genuine, playful, and intimate relationship I hope to support and guide the individuals I meet toward greater satisfaction and happiness in their lives.

Formal sitting practice since 1991; extended retreats yearly since 2001, including IMS 3-month retreat 2012. Retreats, daylongs and community sittings in the Vipassana tradition have been primarily through Spirit Rock, IMC Redwood City and as a member of the Insight Santa Cruz community. Raised Catholic, Buddhist philosophy has informed my own quest since a young adult. Various meditative physical disciplines have and continue to influence me and my practice as a therapist, from martial arts and qi gong to running and surfing.
